Important information about respite agreements
By Julie McStay28 Aug 2014
A respite agreement should contain specific provisions and rules relevant to respite which are different to the rules that apply to an admission for standard residential care. Providers should use a specific Respite Agreement rather than their Standard Residential Care Agreement or Extra Services Residential Care Agreement for respite admissions. If the resident subsequently moves from respite to permanent care they should then asked to sign a Standard Residential Care Agreement.
Simply Legal provides a Residential Respite Agreement endorsed by LASA.
